ST. AMBROSE YOUTH GROUP
The goal of the parish and school Youth Group is to increase and renew faith formation and pastoral practice with adolescents through prayer, Mass attendance, serving others in need and recreational/sports activities.
To develop and strengthen Youth Ministry and Youth Leadership training programs and resources within the Catholic Church and broader communities.
To address the spiritual, cultural, and social needs and growth of the youth in the J.E. Cosgriff and St. Ambrose Church community.
To involve adolescents in projects, and activities that will build opportunities for faith formation, spiritual growth, and service to others.
To encourage our youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ through prayer and Mass attendance.
To develop young people’s critical thinking skills that empower them to analyze contemporary life considering the teachings of the Catholic Church.
To provide developmentally appropriate programs and activities that promote personal and spiritual growth in and outside of the church community.
To nurture the ministry of justice and service in young people and address the causes of human suffering and need. This ministry is central to who we are as God’s people and how we live our faith at home, in our communities and in the world.
